Technical Symposium: New Concepts for Future Networks

LabSpace #3

With the rapid global growth of the internet and mobile internet, the next decade is envisaged to emerge as the decade of the “networked society” and “smart cities”. Robust, reliable and dependable network connectivity is a crucial element to support this vision in which emerging self-organization and self-optimization technologies will play an increasingly expanding role. Robust, mission-critical cloud solutions will require a variety of diverse multi-layer networking technologies, self-service and APIs for network controls. The introduction of autonomic and cognitive capabilities will be necessary to improve the manageability and flexibility of the infrastructure. There is a stringent need to embrace new concepts for future management and control of networked systems.
