Technical Symposium: Green Solutions for Sustainable Growth

LabSpace #4

Telecommunications and networking technologies have a decisive role to play in furthering the objectives of overall energy efficiency; accelerating the transition to a clean energy economy and promoting economic competitiveness. In order to meet these goals research is required that will make communications networks orders of magnitude more energy efficient than they are today. But in the developing world the poor availability of grid power is encouraging different and locally relevant approaches. Solutions involving sustainable low cost mobile telecommunication infrastructure are aiming to achieve 100% green mobile networks in rural India.
